Users can confirm and modify the field types during the data uploading process. There are four types of fields:
- Text: Text format as the content form
- Numerical value: Content presented in numerical format, allowing for statistical analysis such as calculating averages, totals, and other numerical computations.
- Boolean value: Content represented as true/false.
- Date: Content formatted as “date” in an Excel spreadsheet, which can be used for creating time-series charts and can be aggregated for statistical purposes, such as by year, month, or day.
The DiVoMiner platform will automatically recognize the type of field in the uploaded document. For example, if a column of data in an Excel spreadsheet is formatted as “date”, after uploading to the platform, this column of data will be recognized as “date”, which can be used for timeline analysis.
TIPS: What if the field configuration is incorrect after uploading?
The field types of uploaded data cannot directly be modified. Since the database remembers the field types of previously uploaded data, they can be modified by re-uploading. If there are numerous field types that need to be modified, it is advisable to delete the database and set up a new one, then upload the data again.
